Endovenous Laser Ablation in Dallas, TX
Vanguard Vascular & Vein treats varicose veins via Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA) for the residents of Garland, Rowlett, and the Greater Dallas area.
The field of medicine has seen significant benefits in the advances with laser technologies. Vanguard Vascular & Vein proudly offers Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA) to its patients who suffer from varicose veins. For some patients, varicose veins are simply a cosmetic concern, but patients with more advanced cases of varicose veins often live with significant pain and discomfort in their legs. Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA) with NeverTouch® technology uses laser energy to heat and permanently close your varicose veins. Once the damaged veins are closed, your body re-routes your blood through healthier veins and the damaged vein is absorbed by your body.
What Happens During the Endovenous Laser Ablation Procedure?
Endovenous Laser Ablation is a minimally invasive procedure that eliminates your varicose veins. Your physician makes a small incision in the treatment area. A small catheter is inserted through the incision, and a laser fiber is inserted through the catheter into the affected vein. Laser energy is used to heat the vein wall, causing it to collapse, shrink, and eventually disappear. This technique takes less than 30 minutes to perform.
What Can I Expect After the Endovenous Laser Ablation Procedure?
Most patients return to their normal activities within 24 hours of undergoing Endovenous Laser Ablation for varicose veins. You are required to wear a special compression garment for up to one week after your Endovenous Laser Ablation procedure.
